Oral Health and Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Every day, our dedicated professional staff prioritizes ensuring patient and staff safety. This is especially true when there is a need for greater vigilance such as the recent escalation of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
As advised by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO), our dental office is continuing to be vigilant during all usual activities, processes and protocols in accordance with infection control standards.
Our dedicated team of dentists, dental hygienists and staff are working diligently and collaboratively to ensure all recommendations from the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and Infection Control Standards are strictly adhered to. We are also following additional recommendations to promote the highest standards of safety and care.
Our thoughts are with everyone affected by COVID-19 at this time.
Please continue reading to ensure you know what is required and what to expect if you need to schedule a dentist appointment or have an upcoming appointment with us.
Working Together to Promote Safety
Prior to your appointment, you may receive a call to ask you if you have travelled recently, are experiencing any symptoms related to COVID-19 (coughing, elevated temperature or shortness of breath) and a reminder to let you know you have an appointment scheduled with us.
If you do not receive a call prior to your appointment (e.g. if you have a dental emergency), our staff will ask you these questions when you come to the office. If you have any questions for us, we will gladly answer them as well.
When you visit our office, our team will do all that we can to make you feel welcome, safe and secure. Our dental hygienists and doctors will, as stated above, be following all infection control standards to ensure you are comfortable at all times during your appointment.
As one of the most well-respected dentists in the area, the team at Hummingbird Dental Clinic will take all necessary precautions to keep you safe while maintaining your oral health.
